  • Life in Pink

The go-to color of baby shower invitations for girls is, well, the color that’s mostly associated with that gender–pink! And why not? Pink is said to represent compassion, understanding and nurturing. Aren’t those the very ideals inherent in females?

  • Flower Power

Flowers speak of femininity and elegance, which are qualities that the mother may want for her little baby girl.

  • Ribbon Me This

If you feel that flowers are a little too common, you can opt to design your invitation cards with either ribbons or lace instead.

  • The Specials

For a design that’s a little more unisex, it’s all right to forego the flower and lace designs. In their stead, you can go for the less common animal theme or go for pictures or clip arts of babies instead.

What to Include in the Baby Shower Invitation

  • Name/s

Everyone will want to know who the party is for, so make sure to include the name of the mother in the invitation. By this time, she and her hubby will already have decided on the name of their child, so write her names as well.

  • Date and Time

It’s been said that nothing is writ in stone, but for the sake of your guests who’ll be making time and/or putting things on hold just to attend the party, the date and time for the celebration should be fixed early on.

  • Location

You’ll want to include the complete address of the venue just in case there are those in the guest list who may not be familiar with the area.

  • Contact Information

It’s a good idea to give the contact information of either the couple or the one planning the party just in case yoour invites have any questions or are going to make a last-minute cancellations.

  • RSVP Deadline

This bit is optional. But if you just really want to make sure that you’ve got all the preparations down pat, it might be a good idea to include this in the invitation as well.
