Ah, Valentine’s Day! A day named for the Christian martyr St. Valentine that is now being celebrated once a year with a series of gift giving (you know the drill: flowers and chocolate) and exchanging of I love yous . . .

With the New Year’s over and January, no doubt, flying by like no more than a handful of days, the pressure to be up to par with everyone else in the romance department is on high. That, of course, means more resources to expend.

But with these undeniably sweet Free Cards, you won’t have to worry about spending much!

Creativity Trumps All

Let’s get one thing straight here: we’re not telling you to be a cheapskate. All we’re saying is . . . be more creative with the resources you have on hand. We’re giving you options here. With these Free Valentines Day Card templates and inspirations, you can tell your significant other how much they mean to you. Feel free to add in your outpourings and professions of love, of course! Don’t rely on the measly text on the card. (I mean, that’s the whole point of opting for the card.)

With these free printable Valentine’s Day cards, you can effortlessly take the sweetness factor to a whole new level! There is so much you can do with these printables. For instance:

  • you can print dozens of the polaroid film template,
  • glue on them pictures of you and your loved one,
  • and perhaps compile them into a scrapbook.

You can also go the “punny” route with the “I ruff you!” card. Guys, we know this is cheesy as all; but take it from us. Puns actually work! Pair them off with cutesy illustrations, and you’re good to go.

And of course, who can forget the minimalist yet obviously beautiful calligraphy-decked ones?

It’s Always the Thought that Counts

Regardless of how you much or how little you spend on this widely celebrated non-holiday, remember to focus on the people you love and care aboutwhether that is your spouse, your girlfriend/boyfriend, your best friend of seven years, your closest colleague, your favorite teacher, etc. So long as you let them know that they do mean something to you (preferably, of course, as much as you mean to them), you would have given them the best Valentine’s Day present you ever could.

You don’t really have to stick to the archaic standard of one dozen long-stemmed roses and one box of dark chocolates—and even the whole practice of gift giving.

There are so many other ways we can say, “I love you.”

  • Prepare a breakfast in bed, or cook them their favorite dish.
  • Do all the chores for the day.
  • Get in touch with your inner Shakespeare and write a sonnet (or at least try to).
  • Serenade them with a little song you composed the night before.

No matter what form it comes in, so long as your heart is in it, that’s more than good enough.

But of course, it’s still nice to have these Free Valentine’s Ecards readily available, yes?
